Not Far from the Great Hall; Night Time

At lunch today Will received two owls from home, one from his father and one from Robin. They've been worrying him through class since he knows there's not much he can do from here and the halls of Hogwarts are feeling closer than normal.

Since its been raining quite hard for the past few days, he can't even have a good solid fly instead he's pulled his cloak up and is on the edge of the grounds near the Great Hall.

What he'd really like to do is go to the edge of the forest but he's not sure he can handle a detention with the mood he's in. When he gets tired of sitting still, he walks in the rain and then back into just inside the Great Hall. Maybe he can figure something to do to get him out of this funk, because its the kind that always leads to trouble.

(OOC: For general Great Hall area. Will is a bit more outside but can be pulled inside or wherever just tell me where you want him. I hope this works. :-))

She glances at him. We're going in, right? and shrugs.

"That's not what you said in Tranfiguration last week."

"That was because your opinion was wrong,"

Then he nods and flies into the storm.

"Scandal!"

Dinah laughs, flying right along side him, into the wind, which picks up hte broom and throws it. But she rides it easily, rolling with the movement until she's almost flying upside down.

"My opinion is never wrong."

He laughs and as the wind tries to knock him over, dodges in it, so that he's sometimes above her before being next to her again,

"Scandal would be who got caught in the empty classroom near Charms."

Dinah does nearly fall off her broomstick.

"That was two years ago!"

Unless he's talking about something else.

"Careful there,"

Well, other students have been caught but no one else had her flair and he smirks before flying around a tree and back to her.

Dinah rolls her eyes up at him. It takes more than a shock to dilodge her that much. To prove it, she relaxes her grip with her hands and somersaults back upright, holding on with just her knees.

"A girl gets caught fooling around once and you never let it go. What kind of friend do you call yourself?"

"You assumed I was talking about you and you're the one who hasn't forgotten. That classroom has a reputation now."

[serinusniger]

"Oh really?"

Dinah weaves in and out of the trees, occasionally ploughing through wet leaves.

"Sounds like you have gossip to share."

[will_scarlett]

"I might after all the prefects don't see everything that goes on,"

And Will is good at being quiet, he's scared a couple of underclassmen, some of them on purpose. He grins as they go through the trees, a few leaves ending up in his hair.

"No, we don't," Dinah agrees, swooping to fly beside him for a while.

"Sometimes on purpose. Don't tell me as Head Girl. Tell me as Dinah."

Will smirks as he lets her catch up, he's grateful for that,

"Its become quite the place for romantic evenings. One of your exes apparently was almost successful there by setting up a picnic that almost worked. He messed up one of the charms and it wasn't someplace she wanted to be."

[serinusniger]

"You're joking?"

The advantage of liking older boys is by the time you hit seventh year, they're all out and gone and you can gossip about them all you want.

"Which one? Was it Craig?"

Nah, romantic picnics weren't his thing.

"Ralph?"

"Didn't you wonder why he was smelling so floral for days?"

[serinusniger]

"My mum owned a herbology store!" Dinah points out. "I can always smell floral smells."

[will_scarlett]

"I know. I think he was trying to do something involving aromatherapy that he read about. It didn't end well. No one's used the room since as the smell is just there on the edges. I thought you knew."

[serinusniger]

Dinah shakes her head. "No one ever tells me about my exes. I get into one screaming match and suddenly I get a reputation for a short temper."

[will_scarlett]

"We try to save you from having to deal with them as its better for everyone."

[serinusniger]

"You're so tactful," Dinah replies dryly.

[will_scarlett]

"You'd be annoyed at me if I lied and also you'd find out somehow,"

He thinks that's one of the main reasons she's Head Girl, she knows things and she's stubborn enough to find out if she wants to know what's going on.

[serinusniger]

That's also why she's so good for Dumbledore's Army.

"It's true. That's why you're a good friend, Will."

[will_scarlett]

"I try to be and thank you. I'll figure out something tonight and I need to arrange for try outs,"

Hogwarts is good at keeping him busy and giving him ideas for how to help Nottingham. He turns his broom back towards the castle.

"I'll be around if you need me."

She pulls her broom up and flips around, keeping close to him.

Sometimes she misses just getting on a broomstick and fying. There's not a lot of opportunity when you're not playing Quidditch.

He grins and doesn't speed towards the castle, its still a nice night and out here, the world can wait a little longer.
