The Three Broomsticks; Late Night
Jo is Bored. Adulthood is sometimes Boring.
Fail, Adulthood, Fail. And the empty bar.
Where she "has to stay" for the time being.
To counteract this, Jo is sitting on one end of the bar reading her mail. Indian style. Wearing a cowboy hat only those who went to school with her would remember from their fourth year.

Until he just can't hold it in anymore.
"Close your fingers around it tight and think the proper password - I bought it new and tested it out already, it's attuned to you already. And when you're done, open it up and shove something in there - it's really for letters and papers but I reckon you could fit any number of smaller objects in there, the length doesn't matter, just the width - then you close the top again and put it away and no matter who gets it where or why, no one can ever open it unless you hold it tight in your hand and think the password."

Looking at it with this mesmerized tiny smile.
"What's the password?"
no subject
And he is beaming.
"'Professor Sokka Aquam is perfection personified.' Once it's open you can change it, but you have to open it first."
no subject
"I don't know about perfection personified, but I still think he's pretty cool." She tilted her face to look at him again. "Even if he does look dorky in his miss-matched Brit Muggle Clothes and cowboy hat."

"Color magic. The muggles love that idea, you know."
no subject
She is proudly presented with a large, fat, antique wooden compass.
That is spinning wildly out of control on magical grounds.
no subject
Jo looks so amused.
And utterly unsurprised.
"Look! It's a compass."
no subject
"...oh." Suddenly noticing the spinning. "Well, it would work with magnets, if the magnets were working."
no subject
"It'll work on your next trip."
no subject
There is pouting. And slumping beneath the hat. Looking forlornly at his compass.
Then brightening a bit, looking up at her. "Do you like your box?"
no subject
"I love it."
no subject
"I think you should give me your hat in thanks," Sokka offers happily, adjusting it again and slipping the compass into a pocket.

Less if she gives the hat back when she's done smacking.

And she knows he has a little sister.
Sokka frowns at her, hatless and sad.
"You're not invited to my Potions Club."
no subject
no subject
"No. Fifty points from Gryffindor Alumni."
no subject
Then, she pulled her hat on her head.
"It's a good thing I don't need points anymore."

Sliiiiiiiiiiiiiiide of empty glass toward her, super innocent eyes off somewhere else entirely, not focused on the bar.
no subject
She snapped her wands at the glass, her thumb up, like it was a gun. The glass vanished beneath his hand.
no subject
"Show-off."
no subject
Where the shot glass had vanished, two more appeared. Full.
(Pulled truly only from one place to another. Minute apperation.)
"Don't be bitter because some of us have elegance and class."
no subject
But he's snagging that shot glass before she can get to it.
