Working for what you want..

So it's a few hours after Sunday lunch and Tyler's found himself a good perch in the Great Hall to sit down and read. And For once the nerdy Marlocke isn't reading a book, but a sports broom catalogue.

Right now, he's just looking at repair and replacement parts...

Since having found out there's going to be an explorer's club as well as some help regarding his charms work in the future, Tyler's gotten to be pretty relaxed and happy. He's got a few friends, who for today, aren't with him in the hallway right now, as he heads up to the library to look up more things on charms to try and at least PASS that class.

That's why, jogging up the passage towards the library, he's woefully unprepared for the group of Slytherin fourth years, just coming OUT of the library. It's why he freezes upon seeing Charles Brigman, the fourth year he ended up getting caught for filching, just as the bigger, meaner boy catches sight of him, and then runs.

"buggerbuggerbugger."

He is no match for Brigman with a wand, and while he's Gryffindor, he is not a bloody minded fool.

"EAT SLUGS YOU LITTLE SQUIB!"

"BUGGER!"

He's not going to dodge the next blast, so there's a first year, running for all he's worth down the passageway.

Sign-up Sheets

At lunch a few folded pieces of parchment are passed around. Mostly between the younger years, but some of the older transfer students too.

Sign-up sheets for the Hogwarts Exploration Club

Meeting times (roughly every two weeks), places (Great Hall until everyone knows somewhere more discrete), goals (not getting lost if you don't take the same path between classes, secret passages and lost passages later), official staff sponsor (Professor Ross) and what that brings with it (some history added on top of the mapping).

There is a handful of empty lines at the bottom for names and houses, always at least one more at the bottom.

After lunch the paper will fold itself up and fly off.

Order of the Jobberknoll: Autumn sunday outside

It's autumn, and that means one thing every year, aside from the growing excitement for the Halloween feast. There's lots of first-years from all houses exploring the grounds and getting to know their housemates, fellow students and the grounds in general.

And Tyler is currently trying his best to not be noticed by the elder students, or certain ones from Slyterin, like VonFogg. Which doesn't make sense given that he's wandering towards the Quidditch practice fields to watch quietly.

He's not that likely to get onto the school's Quidditch team anytime, but that doesn't mean he can't watch with a sort of wistful envy over the whole thing. And it's his Sunday, he should get a moment to himself to enjoy it, though company wouldn't be turned down.

Especially if it were nice company.
