The Three Broomsticks: Order of the Joberknoll
[ OOC Post Details Here ]
The Three Broomsticks has closed every Thursday night since before the end of the last war. Each of the new owners has followed suit when they picked up the place. The second one said it had to do with luck and honors. And Jo Harvelle, who snuck into the place more times than any could count a decade ago, seems to be following in all their stead with an easy, unruffable grace.
The Closed sign hangs carelessly askew, like normal, and the windows are dark.
(And it will remain that way unless you have an invitation of some kind.)

Settling In, Meet & Greet, Etc.
There are floating orbs of light and the tables are reorganized, away from the main two squished together in the middle. There's food and drinks, but not enough to make anyone think it's a gathering. Just enough to parch those who've traveled a long way to be here.
Grab a drink and settle in, say hello to your neighbors until the meeting starts.

He came from an exciting Quidditch practice and has a bruise under his jaw and his side is stiff due to the exuberance of the new team and some problems with communication.
As he ices his face, he looks around to see if there are any new faces and where the familiar ones are.

He's trying to not talk more than he has to as it hurts and he hadn't expected to see Iroh here.

Once they stop bruising each other though it was mainly Will tonight as he tried to keep everything under control.

And the door. It was a good vantage point for most of the room.

"The weather is not fucking around this year, is it?"
She rubs her wand between her fingers until a warm glow covers her hands like gloves for a second, then disappears.

Watching Li's hands glow.
"It just wanted someone to pay attention to it, too."

"Now I've finally fixed the fireplace in my classroom."

With the silent laughter.
"Let me guess, it never goes out now?"
no subject
"Maybe not when I always expect it to, but it keeps me on my toes."

In other words, she treats the bar like it's her own home.

But he's watching with some interest. The girl Jo used to talk about, in conjunction with the Potions Master of the last meeting. So at home here, even sightless.
And? Famous.
Sam's not much for sports but he's also not a complete recluse.
"Nice choice.

She turns her face towards him (an eye comes with it, gives him a quick glance and goes wondering again) and grins.
"Been waiting all summer for the chance to break out the warm alcohol. What're you drinking?"
no subject
He grins a little at least, aware of the oddness of his choice. "I'll keep it up until they bar flasks. Then I might join you on the whiskey."
Until then, it's still a strange place with a lot of strange faces. As much as he likes Jo and trusts his brother, people make mistakes.
Well, most people.

"Well, you can always double-team them," she says cheerfully as she comes around to the other side of the bar 'lest people start ordering from her.
"Til then, it's all the more for me. Someone's got to be the drunken disorderly one around here."

Looking amused, but unapologetic, Trever gets his own bite to eat and a butterbeer. He's not quite in the mood for drinking just yet.
When he spots Jo he says, "Your man has a rather nasty scratch mark or three."
Re: Settling In, Meet & Greet, Etc.
Her face remaining placid.
Even as her copper eyes twinkled.
In their line of work, that wasn't even a kiss.
"I'd be surprised if he even noticed," Jo replied honestly.
"But as everything's good, welcome to the meeting."
Re: Settling In, Meet & Greet, Etc.
And she looks so innocent and sweet over there in the chair glaring at anyone who would try and take it away from her.
Her chair.
Re: Settling In, Meet & Greet, Etc.
Jo shook her head, still at more bemused than concerned.
"We're already supplied by the best the Ministry can offer."
In the end it was still? Just a cat.
Beat. "But thanks for the offer. And for complying with the rules."
It was easier tonight not to start with leaving people outside, before
the whole event that might have some coming and going even started.
Re: Settling In, Meet & Greet, Etc.
"Oh, I understand... I may not like it, but I understand. The Four Jewels have their own rules though they've never insulted her dignity."
The Four Jewels would be the other secret organization that Trever is apart of. Of course it's family run - sort of - so they're a bit easier on the cat.
