Not Far from the Great Hall; Night Time
At lunch today Will received two owls from home, one from his father and one from Robin. They've been worrying him through class since he knows there's not much he can do from here and the halls of Hogwarts are feeling closer than normal.
Since its been raining quite hard for the past few days, he can't even have a good solid fly instead he's pulled his cloak up and is on the edge of the grounds near the Great Hall.
What he'd really like to do is go to the edge of the forest but he's not sure he can handle a detention with the mood he's in. When he gets tired of sitting still, he walks in the rain and then back into just inside the Great Hall. Maybe he can figure something to do to get him out of this funk, because its the kind that always leads to trouble.
(OOC: For general Great Hall area. Will is a bit more outside but can be pulled inside or wherever just tell me where you want him. I hope this works. :-))

"Oops. Sorry, Will."

"Evening, Dinah. Where are you headed?"
no subject
"...Are you OK?"

Dinah's already beckoning towards the staircase, as the nearest convenient place to sit.
no subject
"Its complicated as there's more trouble at home."
no subject
Dinah frowns in sympathy, rubbing her temples. "Is there anything we can do from here?"

Nor, apparently, is the new Defence Against The Dark Arts teacher. Who is also, in that coincidental way Hogwarts teachers have, walking outside in the rain, a Shielding spell keeping the worst of it off her head.
She's shorter than he is but she still manages to be maternal and gentle as she comes over to him, in teh damp grass that slopes down to the forest. "Hey. Will. Everything okay?"
no subject
Its mainly true, he loves weather like this but he's also far too much in his head.

He's always liked weather like this and he has remembered a repelling charm so he's not as wet as he could be.

"Something on your mind?"
no subject
And out here he can almost imagine he's closer to home.

Black Hogwarts robes help with the stealth. Having bright blond hair probably doesn't, in the case of this boy.

"Expelli -- ah, it's you!"
Under his robes, he's carrying his broomstick.
no subject
Will doesn't comment on the squeak and just waits for an answer.

"Hello, Will." The albino boy is quick with names and faces; it's been helpful this semester.

"Hello, Silas. Having troubles with your repelling charms?"
As its rather odd to see an umbrella at least at Hogwarts. Will grew up in the Muggle world so he's used to them but most wizards rely more on their charms.
no subject
"I live more like a muggle than as a wizard when I go home, you know," he adds. "I live with my mother." He's made it no secret that he's not pureblood--or more precisely, his housemates did.
no subject
Will frowns because he's also not pureblood, doesn't really care and tends to prefer fighting with his fists to wands rather openly.
no subject
Will is a Gryffindor; Silas doesn't tend to think of them as the solitary people of the school, mostly because they aren't. They're friendly and open, and usually around others. Things Silas is not, save for the first in limited doses.
no subject
Also he's in a thoughtful mood and its quieter out in the rain.
